Set Designer Tim Mackabee chats about Salesman [Video]

1 min read

We recently spoke with Scenic Designer Tim Mackabee about his set design for Death of a Salesman at Ford’s. You may have seen Mackabee’s set design in our production of The Glass Menagerie , or his sets for Broadway’s The Elephant Man  starring Bradley Cooper, Much Ado About Nothing at the Public Theater, Amy Schumer’s Live at the Apollo special or others.

His imaginative multi-layered set transports audiences to Willy Loman’s home in 1940s Brooklyn, New York. Watch the video to see how he creates the world of the play and communicates how Willy Loman’s world has closed in around him.

Death of a Salesman plays until Oct. 22, 2017 at Ford’s Theatre.
